Newsflush 15/09/2012

Hello, everyone. It has been a nice summer, despite the heavy rain, but it was a wonderful summer here in Great Britain, because of the Games of the XXX Olympiad 2012 in London, England.

Now, this. Those who want to know why the first episode of the new season of Root Beers haven't came last week, I can tell you. I have a new graphics tablet from Currys/PC World, in Carlisle. I was on holiday with my Mum for eleven days, more on that, later. Anyway, the touch option works alright and so is the mouse option, but it's the pen that didn't work. Also, I misplaced the pen of the Kanvus tablet and can't remember where I put it. But, there we are. Also, schedule for comics may be sacred, due to college work I maybe asked to do. And another thing is this, if you're reading this on FurAffinity, you may well know about the breakdown on the website, due to hardware problems. Personally, I blame that on yiff foxes, if you ask me how that happened.

But enough of that problem, my holiday with my mother went great! We went on three coach trips to Scarbrough, Harrogate and Port Sunlight (not all on the same day). One of the best places in Harrogate is the Harrogate International Centre. Why's that?, you may ask. Because if you're a Eurovision fan, like me, then you will know that, thirty years ago, the 27th Eurovision Song Contest took place in the Centre, where Germany won the first time, since 1956, with Nicole singing "Ein bißchen Frieden", that scored 161 points. And did you know that Port Sunlight, a village near Liverpool, was originally built to accomodate the workers of the Lever Brothers "Sunlight Soap" factory and their families. Went to the museum there and we bought some soaps.

Root Beers 077 - No Horsing Please

This was done yesterday, but uploaded today.
In this comic, The Ally Bobcat Experience Players are reenactment a true scandal that I just made up. It's called "The Horse Affair Scandal of '52" It about three men plotting a non-nudity streak, during Ladies' Day, at the Penhampton Race Course as a bet at the nearest pub. The rider (played by Ally Bobcat) dressed up as a dame riding a giant horse (played by Dennie Bunnzie) as the idea comes straight by two wise guys (played by Nick Bunnzie and Fredrick Foxx). What will become of the plot? You will have to wait. "Why?", you may ask. Because Root Beers will be taking a break until 8th September 2012. It will give me the chance to do the Root Beers Summer Special, coming soon. Look out for the announcement, soon.

Root Beers 076 - I:D2012

This comic has been designed, not only to mark the forthcoming Independent Day (4th July), but also to celebrating the anniversary of Jim Groat's comic, West Corner of the Park. The comic, based on FurryMUCK, have just turned 15 today. I recommended reading the comic, right from the beginning at http://www.graphxpress.com/cgi-bin/wcotp.cgi Updated every Sunday, unless there are deaths of famous persons. Also, the comic site is famous for it art jams from fur conventions. My favourite of the comic site!!! Ahem. Onto the description. To celebrate this occasion, I bungoified Rabbi-Tom as guest to this comic, where Ally Bobcat, Fredrick Fox and Nick Bunnzie are planning their Independent Day picnic, while Bimbo Fleischer III looks on.

Newsflush 26/06/2012

Hi, hi. Zis is me.
First off, just to let you know that my premium membership on deviantART will expire on Monday 2nd July, but, I'm looking foward to get back to normal, after a six month test, so no worries there. Zirkus Kapers, is halfway printed unfinished and was viewed during a Southampton City College arts show. There was six copies printed in Repographics. Five on display and one to take home with me. Unfortunealy, some fools didn't return two copies during the private viewing. Thank you, wise guys, thanks a bunch. After two more comics, Root Beers will be on break, so I can plan a new summer special, to put up on deviantART and the website, during the London 2012 Summer Olympics Games. And it shall be for real, this time. The summer special will be presented in seventeen daily episodes including a trip to the beach, a look at this year's travel, and a long edition of a Bungoification of "It's a Knockout" (Root Beers Sans Frontieres). As a matter of fact, I'm working on those headings right now. I wish I have more to talk, but since I have uploaded that Dennie Bunnzie muffin thing at bunnziebungo.deviantart.com/#/d552erl (Dennie invented that meme himself), it must have broken my imagination. Let me check. Large... swedish...  chest. Eyup, totally broken. If you excuse me, I gotta go place.

Root Beers 072 - Jubileeathon 2012

Nice to bring Eurokatt back from the archive after many, many weeks or so. I do hope I shall get on with Eurokatt's third series of postcards and a improved summer special, a.s.a.p.!

Anyway, Eurokatt wondered why Elizabeth (United Kingdom's bitch - real name for female dog, please don't complain) is so happy, even though Englebert Humperdinck went second-to-last place with 12 points at Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Nancius Bunnzie explained the reason.

First off, as I was uploading this comic (done this morning), I have been told that my Bamboo Graphic Tablet have completey knackered. Sad. :(
Now, this. The sisters are having cooking problems since their oven on the blink. Apologies for the typo mistake, there. The reason Choco-Rheged "Jen" Bunnzie is wearing a black band, is because of these three people at the comic, below the copyright line.

Newsflush 16/05/2012

Hello, once again.

First off, the next Root Beers number won't be on this weekend. Apparently, it was due to my Bamboo tablet being an absolute idiot. On the plus side, I'm getting on very well with my final major project, at Southampton City College. It is 68 pages in total, and I done 26 pages, so far. So, it's 26 pages down and 42 pages to go. Earlier this year, I done a lot of pub sketches at The Duke of Wellington, Southampton, and if I have some time I can show you them. As I were saying, there'll be delays on Root Beers and other stuff. Oh, and also, if you remember on 31st March, Eurokatt asked me to send her birthday wishes to Celine Dion, the winner of Eurovision Song Contest 1988 for Switzerland, on Twitter and guess what? Fourteen people have retweeted that tweet, including the official Eurovision Twitter account! When I told her, Eurokatt was moved to tears, saying "I'm beginning to get recognied by Eurovision officials." Awww, bless. Don't forget to watch Eurovision Song Contest 2012 on Saturday 26th May, on your local E.B.U. station. Until then, ta-ta!

Root Beers 070 - He Looked Blue!

Meet Fredrick Fox. He's Ally Bobcat's friend and his father is one of the top 100 richest animals of Eurbungoia.

In case you're wondering, where did I find that joke from, I actually found it on one of the illustrations from "The Penguin Book of Comics" (1967/1971, George Perry and Alan Aldridge). Very rare, if you ask me. It's from one of the pages of "Chuckles", dated Saturday, July 24, 1915. Waaaaay older than the Dandy. (No offence.)

As you know, quite recently, that the furry world have been taken over by, you guess it, characters and elements from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, created for animation by Lauren Haust. Anyway, JUST for this week, I have no choice, but to turn the Bunnzie sisters, Nancius and Choco-Rheged "Jen" Bunnzie into, you guess it, PONIES!

If you ever learn your alphabet with 12 letters, you must be nuts. The Hawaii version of the Alphabet has 12 letters. This version has about 14 letters, due to lack of paint. Nice show there, Abby Cadabby.

Hello, everyone!

First off, it's funfair time!

That was funfair time, and now... the newsflush.

People are being unaware of wondering what happening to the next issue of Root Beers. Well, to be honest, I'm trying to keep tracks on what was going on.

I'm stuck for any ideas for the next few comics, I can't think which fan art goes next, and I'm about to do the graphic novel for my Final Major Project. If you're familiar with acornyms, it's F. M. P.

Anyway, I'm planning a few ideas for comics, fan art, and other stuff that was SUPPOSED to be bloody mentioned in the Announcement bit. Ooooooh, almost let my senstive side go, there.

I have renewed my membership on deviantART, and oh yes, yesterday, I supported Sport Relief by taking part in the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile. This is the link.

Fixing up a little...

Hello, again. I'm sorting out what to do in this art world. Here are the reasons.

1. I have just opened a new merchandise shop, powered by CafePress. This is the link to the store. It's not quite ready, yet. Still, sorting out bits.
2. There are maybe delays, due to my weekend in Jersey with the local gymnastics club, from Friday 16th - Sunday 18th March and a weekend in Bristol with the Hampshire Hurricanes tag rugby group from Friday 25th - Sunday 27th May.
3. Still planning ideas for a graphic novel, for my Final Major Project at college.
4. May get sick and tired of "The Chicken Song" by Spitting Image.
5. I shall plan gift art carefully, plan a mini cheeky series (FurAffinity only) and giving the archive a major boost to the website. (If I may so.)

Root Beers 062 - The Euro Resignation

In respone to Fabio Capello's resignation, I did a comic, quick as a flash, all in one day.

Eurokatt and her friends are in this. Elizabeth (United Kingdom) is listening to "World in Motion" on her MP3 player.
Patrick (Ireland) is wearing a black band on his arm. The reason? It wasn't a good week for RTE and Ireland, because Noel Kelehan, five times winning Irish conductor for Eurovision (1980, 1987, 1992, 1993, 1996) has died that week.
Leopold has a cast on his left arm. He claimed he sprained his arm during art class, but in reality, he was doing an impression of Groucha from Telechat, because Telechat was recorded in Brussels.

Hope you have a good half-term, British watchers.

Newsflush 10/02/2012

Good evening.

I apologize for delaying my journal/blog on this website. Reason? Because I haven't got the time to think of one. I was hoping to do Root Beers #061 by tomorrow night, except Fur Affinity. Apparently, at the top of the page, the notice said: "We have a planned outage Feb 11-12th, 2012 while we make upgrades to our SQL server and perform other scheduled maintenance to improve performance. Please plan accordingly." I didn't even notice that it was quite urgent, but let's worry about it, later.

Also, there's bad news and good news about "Zirkus Kapers". The bad news is that "Zirkus Kapers" won't be on this year. But, the good news is I'm putting it into a graphic novel I'm planning, hopefully to be done, later on. Finally, if I have more time drawing, and LESS TIME WEB SURFING, I shall be doing some furry art and gift art for friends and famous faces at the webcomic business.

Anyway, must dash. I got a window at three. CRASH!

Root Beers 060 - 20 Up

As you know, this comic was to be my birthday comic, due to be released on January 17th - which is my birthday.

Unfortunealy, due to college work and spare time problems during that time, I keep on delaying this for unknown purposes.

But of enough of that, this comic is a self-direct parody of "28-Up" paordy sketch from Spitting Image,prehaps the greatest adult puppet show in Europe.

The parody sketch, featuring David Owen, was a parody of ITV's best shows, the "Up" programmes. The next series, "56 Up", will be on ITV1 in May 2012.

In this comic, Professor C.J.E. Bunnzie is writing down how his new fabric can be tough againist stains. Unfortunely, he said those stains a bit too loud and that bought his wife, Maggieus Bunnzie, into the comic. (Serve him right.)

Ah, the first regular Root Beers cartoon of 2012, featuring two charcters created by Andrew "Granitoons" Morrice, Hot Dog and Cool Cat.
This comic strip does not have a 'Waiter' joke, not even a "there's a fly in my soup gag". I SWEAR. Just a pun and a punchline.

If "Granitoons" like this one, I must do more of Hot Dog, someday.

Advent 2010: Day 34

Here's Dennie Bunnzie tasting Ka Black Grape Fizzy Drink. (May taste okay at the start, but getting a bit too sweet.) His wife is Rheged Bunnzie, (far right) chatting to her sister, Nancius Bunnzie, whose husband is Nick Bunnzie (far left). Yes, they are best friends and YES, these two sisters are married!

Anyway, the heading, that was a victim of the New Year's Celebrations, was cleaned yesterday by a low-budget cleaner. Doesn't look as planned.
