Newsflush 24/12/2014

First off, might I be able to apologise to readers for unable to give out those Advent Calendar pictures.

Not only because I have finished my Christmas shopping, but I'm also recovering from taking part in the Christmas Gymnastics Gala at Basingstoke, Hampshire. I mean five performances in three nights. Could you believe the time I have to work hard?

Anyway, where was I? Oh, yes and I'm having a bit of a cold, especially with the sniffles and the coughs.

Recently, I found something a bit shocking and unexpected, that terrible bin lorry crash that shocked the city of Glasgow, which was recovering months after the Commonwealth Games and the Scottish independent referendum, on which most of the Scottish people voted against independence. The family and I are giving sympathies to the families of those involved.

So, from all of us to all of you, even budgies and hamsters, have a merry Christmas and let's hope for a peaceful New Year.

Advent 2014: Day 25: Oh deer, Derpy!

First of all, I'm shocked to hear that dreadful bin lorry accident at Glasgow, months after the Commonwealth Games and the vote against Scottish independence. And now, Day 25, and we're looking at some of Santa's reindeer, including Derpy Hooves, playing the part of Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer. Call her Ditzy Doo all you like, but she does have her way with mare-mail.

Advent 2014: Day 24: Comedy's a bit Frozen, yes?

Day 24, and we're complaining about the awful weather, and it's not even snowing. That's where Elsa from Disney's "Frozen" (2013) steps in, claiming her alibi. Features Olaf, the Snowman. And the Bunnzies (Nick, Dennie, Jen and Nancius, wearing her Yes-You-Seen-It-Before Keyhole Sweater). Suddenly, PINGU!

Advent 2014: Day 23: At the Police Station

Day 23, and we're watching Sgt. Poodle and PC Dimbleby at the Eurbungoia Police Department, playing Clue/Cluedo. (That visual cracker joke was terrible...)

Advent 2014: Day 22: Hooked on a Xmas Stocking?

Day 22, and we're getting fed-up with winners from reality shows (X-Factor) hogging the spotlight for the Christmas number ones. If this doesn't beat a future X-Factor winner, nothing will! Those who is wondering who Dickie Valentine was, his song "Christmas Alphabet" was the first Christmas-themed song to be a Christmas Number One in 1955. Look it up on Google, if you want to find out more.

Advent 2014: Day 21: Root Beers #90

Day 21, and we're expecting the Queen to be making her Christmas Day speech. Every Christmas Day at 3 o' clock, it's the same thing. It is a festive tradition. I'll leave you with King George Strangeundweird III of Eurbungoia with a draft of his Christmas speech, featuring Nick Bunnzie.

Advent 2014: Day 20: Christmas Trees 4 U

Day 20, and we're hoping that future Christmas television idents would be very funny, like this one. My idea for a Christmas ident on Channel 4, would be like this. Very fetching, indeed. The last part is a reference to Lew Grade (ITC) and Michel Grade (Channel 4, 1987)

Advent 2014: Day 19: Keep Calm and Shop On

Day 19, and it's only seven days until Christmas, as--
"ONLY SEVEN DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS? PANIC! CRISIS! AND THEN SOME!"

Aaaagh, it goes on and on like this. Seriously, until the next batch of sales on the 26th.

Advent 2014: Day 18: Quit horsing at the Panto!

Day 18, and we're laughing at the pantomime horse. After we saw Saturday's presentation of the pantomime, we get to see the pantomime horse who is having none of the funny stuff, backstage.

Advent 2014: Day 17: One day at the Shopping Mall

Day 17, and we're visiting a shopping centre (mall, if you're American) to see a Mall Santa. Unfortunely, they're prone to beard tuggers, including this one.

Day 15, and we're thinking of digging deep into our pockets and helping those less fortunate than ourselves. And I'm pretty sure busking may help, sometimes.

"Colin McNaughton did the joke in one of his books, and one of my DeviantArt friends did a variation of the joke. Why haven't I done that joke?" I keep asking myself. So that's why I did a version of the joke here, featuring Sam Sheepdog and Catherine Cat. The poppies on this comic are referencing the Rememberance of the Fallen of the British Soldiers during both World Wars and other wars since 1918.

Newsflush 05/11/2014

Hello, everyone.
GGGAAAAAAHHH! It's been over a blooming year since I updated this blooming journal. Since the last time I wrote to you, guys, here's a list of events that happened since 29th July 2013.

1. Found out my previously mentioned application to Southampton Solent University for Illustration have failed.
2. Won two bronzes and one silver at the Special Olympics Summer Games in Bath.
3. Arranged to take the Foundation Course back at Southampton City College.
4. A relative of mine passed away.
5. Recivied a new smartphone for Christmas.
6. Working on a book cover design for an illustration project.
7. Working on another illustration project called "Animal Poems".
8. Did a new final major project, entitled "Jungle Buds".
9. Trying again on the UCAS application for Illustration at Southampton Solent University. It was a successful application, this time.
10. Progressing to Southampton Solent University for a three year couse of Illustration.
11. Bought a Wacom Intuos graphic tablet from John Lewis.

So, yeah. That is all I could remember. Anyway, since I got the new tablet, I can resume my comic series, "Root Beers", and some of a few gift art. Hopefully.
