Just found a catalogue, containing some of the dresses available at Barks & Spinster. The cover features "Jen" Bunnzie and Hot Dog (Andrew Morrice) wearing tree dresses (originally unveiled five years ago yesterday - http://granitoons.deviantart.com/art/Xmas-tree-dress-272858504), much to Nancius Bunnzie's thoughts.

Oh, and by the way, WestQuay Southampton will be opening the first wave of restaurants in its Watermark development, hopefully today.

Advent 2016.08: The Holiday Programme

Today's comic is notable for not only paying tribute to Cliff Michelmore and BBC's Holiday Programme, but also it's also notable for one of the backgrounds.
This was originally done in 1934 by Erich Shenck, and it was done for a Betty Boop cartoon, "Red Hot Mamma".
I found the image in "The Fleischer Story" by Leslie Carbaga, and I thought I could put this on, just to experiment the use of characters on different backgrounds (by using GIMP). So, no infringment intended. Only a tribute.
